a dslr is not balanced, you can't hold it at the natural balance point when using a long zoom lens. this is ok for still shots using a fast shutter and/or stabilizer. but these don't help with continuous video, worse yet it does not offer a tilt viewer. a camcorder is designed to be held at the balance even with the lens zoomed which helps immensely and a viewer that can be adjusted for nearly any shooting position. the bottom line is, good video is taken with a camcorder, and good photos with a dSLR, no exceptions to the rule with current models anyway.

Why do i have a screwed up voice?

basically, my family are all scottish, perfectly scottish accent, but then there's me. Can't catch my horse?

I have a 6 year old Gelding (Welsh section d) He is a pain to catch!! I have had him since August and he has always been like this. For about a month in Feb he came straight to me in the field (I think this was from watching the other horse in his field coming up to me and getting praised with a pat) But he is still in the same field as this horse and I still spend about an hour running round the field to get him! I dont want to use treats as I know this can be dangerous with others in the field but if he is the last one out I will admit I use treats and catch him instantly. I have just moved yards and he will be out with about another 6 horses which is making me worry that eventually he will be impossible to catch. I'm 16, and I started about 5-6 months ago. My coach says it may take over a year for me to get into my first match. ): From my understanding, boxers usually advance from amateur to pro by 18-20. I'm behind in everything compared to those boxers. Am I too late? Should I stop trying and drop the idea of ever doing this for a living? It's probably the most fun thing I've ever done. I'm in love with the sport. But... I don't want to end up in my 20s boxing in the amateur ranks, or getting dropped by people who have been boxing since they were like 10 just because of a late entrance to the game. Can hard work -really- make up for the difference in entry times? That's what people tell me, but it doesn't seem to make sense. If I had been training from 10-20 and someone else trained from 16-20, I'm pretty sure I'd have a large advantage. It's not as if those people who start early don't train hard as well.. Why do I crave salt so much?

I always crave salty foods, I don't like sweet foods, only occassionally, and that's if I'm starving. Alot of the time I just won't feel like eating something if it isn't salty/seasoned. I've sprinkled salt on my palm before and just ate it that way. Could it be because my mom thinks I'm anemic? I'm very pale and have very dark undereyes. I have been in common law marriage with my husband for almost 19 years. We have 4 boys together. Our relationship has been rocky since the beginning. My husband thought it was okay to try and get with her but i didn't find out until a month later and that's because my mom made her come clean with me. He was trying to come on to her but she pushed him away and she didn't know how to say it to me cause she knew i would be crushed. Needless to say i confronted him and of course he denied it so i left him. That was the most traumatic experience of my life because i knew i was a good wife and didn't deserve being treated with so much disrespect. After a month passed he went all the way to georgia to beg for me to come back. He swore up and down nothing happened between him and my aunt but just the thought of him insinuating himself to her made me sick to my stomach. Again i felt like i had to return with him cause my son need his house back and i was low on money cause when i lived with him he never let me work. I decided to give it another chance cause he told me he loved me and couldn't stand the idea of me and my son being gone. I was so young so i was very vulnerable to anything. My mother begged me to stay with her but i couldn't stand the idea of being a burden to her at age 21. Time passed and all was good at least that's what i thought. He had his own mechanic shop but i never knew how much money would come in or out. He thought that as long as he paid bills at home he could do whatever he wanted. He started drinking and having friends at shop every single day and started neglecting my son and me. This time i was 26 so i started building some courage and decided that i would no longer put up with his behavior. I started going out and doing my own thing. But one thing, i never stopped taking care of my son. He is my life. My husband started drinking non-stop and hanging with wrong crowd and he lost it all. After he lost it all non of his friends and family especially his mother who i consider a gold digger helped him out. He went to georgia and got help from my brothers and kind of got back on his feet. That's because he was deep into drinking and god knows what. Needless to say i was back here in texas living with parents and working so that i could finally get him out of my heart and pretty much start over but that was almost impossible cause my son missed him dearly and that was my weakness. He came back and looked for me and pretty much begged for me to go back with him but i wouldn't budge. We did end up together and he was actually changing and i got pregnant with 2nd child. We moved close to my mother and farther from his family that never helped him. They only get close to him when he is making money especially his mother. 6 years have passed since then and now we have a total of four boys. But now he is 40 and his family are back in the picture and he is starting to act shady again with money and with me. I've grown mentally ever since but now we have 4 boys that love him very much. My husband and i really don't spend any alone time and barely talk because he is overweight and as soon as he sits down he falls asleep. But he does have time for his family and i feel that i have done so much for him and i feel so unappreciated. I even helped him get his green card so that my kids would have their father around. But it seems that whatever i do for him his family receives all benefits except me. I would love to move on but now we have a mobile home that will be paid off soon but we have credit card debts and i and i'm afraid he won't pay since most of them are under my name. I want to keep my house for my kids of course but i don't know if i have the same rights living under common law marriage. I also suspect that he is talking to another woman but i really can't be for sure but the feeling is there. I guess i've been through so much with him that i guess i just plain don't trust him anymore. I'm 36 now and i really want to move on without hurting my kids and i want to make sure they have what they need. Can i get spousal support for all these years that i've been with him? i really could use some good advice. I am not afraid of working for them but i feel he should pay as much as possible for all the grief he has put me thru.

Dream about my daughter being kidnapped and killed?

I had the worst dream ever twice last night. I dreamnt someone kidnapped my daughter, I looked for her and couldn't find her. In my dream my ex-roomate came to me and said she knew where she was and could get her to me for 1.5 million dollars which I easily got. Somehow it was insinuated that my daughter had really been killed. I woke up with my eyes wet from crying. Was relieved that my daughter was lying next to me. Possible Disqualified from MEPS? Prior Service?

Im Currently in the USAF separating in 2 months honorable discharge and switching over to the USMC. I have to go through MEPS again, but I'm worried they will disqualify me. I had few minor medical issues while I have been in the USAF, but one issue worries me the most about going through MEPS. About a year ago i was working late and took one of those 5-hour energy shots, i felt like my heart was racing and got very nervous(i work in the clinic on base). I went to the nurse, and they sent me to the ER since the clinic was closed and the doctors all went home. The ER said they think i had a panic attack and did a EKG on my heart it was normal but showed i had Sinus Arrithimia. I was told that its not anything serious and alot of people have it. I followed up with my doctor on base and she sent me to a heart doctor off base to just check and make sure nothing is wrong with my heart. He did an unltrasound everything came back normal, he said im just thin physically and arrithimia is normal in thin people. He also did a 24-hour heart monitor thing i had to wear. He said everything was normal and i had PAC's which he believed is just do to the arrithimia all in all everything was fine. I never went to mental health for the "panic attack" and doctors said im perfectly normal, no restrictions and to stay away from energy shots. haha.. SO im worried im going to go to MEPS and they will deny me, re-entry becasue i had those minor things with my heart. On the MEPS papers they ask you, have you ever had Palpitations, PAC's, pounding heart, etc.. and im afraid I mark "yes" even the doc said i was normal i will be disqualified.. and some people have told me to just mark "no" .. but IM Prior service so they will easily be able to look at my electronic medical records in the computer and know if i lie about something. My recruitor says not to worry about it. But i am worried.. should i have the heart doc write me a letter to give MEPS saying he finds my heart normal and im clear to continue with military service in the USMC? I wish i could call MEPS(not giving my name) and ask but i dont think they answer questions on the phone.. advice please!!

I'm trying to average a set of ongoing number entries in excel. I have 14 and growing columns(days of input) of 24 rows(hours data is recorded) and a 25th row to average all the rows above it for a daily average(example: =AVERAGE(D3:D26)). Then I am trying to average the daily averages for an overall total average (Example: =AVERAGE(28:28)). For the fibromyalgia i would stretch in the morning and go on a little jog or a walk. It will help ur blood move arround and hopefully relieve some of ur stress. For the muscle spasms (which i get sometimes) i apply icy hot at night where i usually get them, legs arms and on the left and right side of my neck. The icyhot helps blood travel and it feels good on my skin all minty and helps me sleep. For the keratoconus there is not kuch that i can say but eat carrots and smoke some mary jane(green plant) would help that... ( I live in California ) but the mary jane would probably interfere with ur anxiety and you would most likely have a panic attack. Thats why u turn on ur favorite tv show and stay away from people for a few hours. Or be with the ones u trust.... Anyway... If not mary jane. Drink some mint tea :) And for ur sleep disorder drink some mint tea before sleep and apply some vics chest rub at night... I know ur in a difficult situation but these are the only few tricks that can relive some of ur stress and pain... Its a tough would out there and im kinda in a financial crisis myself. Just gotta keep optimistic and excercise to keep ur mind straight. Good luck out there :)

you're doing fine! unfortunately...it will take at least the first 6/7 months of a puppies life to get potty trained- just keep taking him out whenever eat eats/plays or after he wakes up from a nap. I know a friend who attached a jingly bell to her door, and started making the puppy hit it before she took it out for a pee, her dog then soon learned when he jingled the bell on his own- it was pee time. Patience is key! Sorry...but puppy training is not a quick thing, it takes time.

Should I take job with family member or not?

A few days ago my dad kept insinuating that I take a soon to be vacant office position working for my moms sister at the apartment complex where we all live. Owners, in particular. Do they typically get interest on it, spend it, or what? I'm just wondering because at my last place when I moved out they told me they had no record of how much I had paid for my security deposit. I have a one year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, he loves people and other dogs and he's very socialized and lovable. How to slow down a pony's trot.?

I have gotten into a business deal with a lady I've known for years. We are selling a 14 hh Trakhener/Welsh cross. I had ridden him for her a few years ago, so I am familiar with him. He is very talented to be such an underdog. He's gone through training level eventing and he is really talented in dressage. However, there are two problems with our flatwork. 1) Since he is a pony, he does have very short, choppy strides when he trots. How can I help this? I have tried pushing him forward with my leg and seat, but he just speeds up. I need him to at least slow down his steps. Ideally, we could lengthen them as well. 2) Our canter is fabulous, but unfortunately our canter transitions are not. I can't seem to set him up well for neither the up or down canter transition, but I don't usually have problems doing that with any other horse. He's just very different from the horses I am used to riding.

Carpool Lane Ticket while avoiding an accident?

If anyone can provide me with some some good advice how I fight this ticket? I got a carpool lane ticket while trying to avoid an accident. I was on the fast lane of the 605 southbound freeway and the 60 freeway. A vehicle, on the lane next to me, on my right side, merge over to my lane without looking. In order to avoid this accident I merged on the carpool lane and exited the carpool lane at the next available carpool exit and entry section. I explained this to the officer and she still cited me for being on the carpool lane with only one occupant. I did not exit earlier because I did not feel safe and did not want to possibly cause an accident by crossing the yellow lines. Any advice is much appreciated.

If you can devote 3 walks per day for at least 20-30 mins a walk, plus fetch and some training each day to the dog, as well as 3 days a week of grooming and vacumming the hair, get a corgi.

ID required for entry to bars/clubs?

I am just under a month away from my 18th birthday, and in the middle of post A-levels party week. I don't have any fake ID, and I am aware that it is illegal anyway, however I know that several of the parties in clubs/bars may require ID for entry, which is obviously a potential problem. I would not expect to get served without ID inside, and a lot of establishments know it is easy for an over 18 to buy a drink for someone else and so are wary of serving more than one drink to one person, and go around to check IDs, not just at the bar itself etc. I am not particularly bothered about not being able to drink, I can have fun without alcohol, but it's obviously annoying not to be able to even get in, and I'm wondering what the likelihood of being turned away at the door is? Are they very strict on ID for entry, as much as they are for ID at the bar, or are they usually ok with it?

Why do guys say mean things to girls?

I feel reasonably happy about my appearance I exercise regularly eat well and take care of myself. But this guy I know says things like if you lost a few pounds you'd be anorexic, insinuates that I don't have any breasts etc, says that I'm quite skinny. Why do some guys feel the need to do this? been at my job for about 5 years. i was hired to do data entry work for a company. the job got rid of 90 percent of the people who worked there and only kept a few people. i was taken out of my job but didnt complain when i had to leave an a/c office and sit down desk job to work in a hot warehouse environment standing all day plus they made me learn how to drive a forklift to on top of this stuff i was never hired on to do. i have never complained and stuck with it because i need the money but now the place is wanting to go into something that is so beyond the scope its nuts. they want all the employees who are left to learn how to weld or to build stuff with power tools. i am not a carpenter or welder and i feel if my job ends they should lay off. my background is office work which is why i orfginally took this place. i feel the work could be dangerous to since i m not a welder or carpeneter. i literally saw propane tanks and blow torches. that kind of work is not what i was hired to do and i think enough is enough. also to for this summer they have decided that the employees can not use fans in the warehouse. we have no air circulating in the place at all and it will get so hot in there i am afraid of passing out to. any advice on what i can do? if i refuse to do dangerous work will i get unemployment? i am not comfortable at all with welding or carpentry work i didnt take this job to do that stuff it was supposed to be data entry? any advice on what i can do here would be appreciated. thanks!

hmmm. i would work her on flat for a good bit longer.. do lots of circles and lateral work to improve her bend u could introduce poles such as trotting and canter poles and get her thinking about what she is doing with her feet. how long has she been broken? most horses start jumping at 4 but that is after a lot of preparation before hand on the flat. also you could free jump her in a school, not too high with a max. of maybe 3ft just so she becomes used to jumping. it will take some time though. good luck. Also i would recommend you have an experienced rider or trainer there to help you and insure to take everything slowly. There is nothing worse then ruining youngsters by doing too much too soon.

Why do I feel this way anymore? Boyfriend is making me feel useless.?

I have been on the heavier side, lost a ton a weight, and gained some back since I can't go workout all the time due too health problems. He is starting to make me feel like dirt, and I am very conscious about my looks and my weight. It really hurts to know that he is insinuating that I am heavy,when i have been trying so so hard. Opinated breastfeeding mothers?

I called a breastfeeding hotline about this question a couple days ago. She said to pump your breastmilk into a bottle and add a little formula to it. Over a period of a few days add a little more formula to the breastmilk bottle and eventually just do straight formula. If your transition too fast it can make the babys tummy upset and they wont be able to digest the formula. Goodluck!
