Let me ask this again.?

So I had sex. I just finished my period. My boyfriend came in me. I have researched about all contraceptives and the number one way of prevention is abstinence. I am on birth control. I dont ovulate till next week. My question is, would putting a tampon help prevent pregnancy? I just asked this question and most answers were judgemental, rude, and not straight forward. Im just curious and I wanted to know. I dont know everything and Im hoping someone is kind enough to tell me the answer and explain why instead of insinuating im an idiot. I just wanted to know. :(
