He did overreact. He should have known that a whole section full of pictures would have intimidated you, and he shouldn't have just stopped texting. But you too, you shouldn't have talked it in his birthdays. Maybe he thinks more of the relationship than you do. People are emotional that day. And maybe you should break the ice this time.
