It was something i said...?

found an awesome guy... the whole package. he showed interest and was cute about it ;) stuttering at times and trying to get info from me in a round about way, which led to the relationship topic at the end of our first casual friendly get together. well it boiled down to the fact that he hasnt had a relationship that lasted more than 4 months (gets claustrophobic) and i on the other hand, came out of a four year relationship, and have been happily single for about two years now. long story short: i might have insinuated that i'm not looking for a relationship now (meaning that i dont neeeeed a guy in my life) but the fact of the matter is that i am more ready than i've ever been. i might have given the impression that i'm only interested in casual fun, which im not. he's now pulled back, affraid of rejection (folks went through a divorce recently) and i'm wondering if theres anything i can do to let him know that i think he's great that i'd like to get to know him better and that i'm open to having something long term? the other option is to wait it out... but i'm affraid i'm going to loose him. any ideas?
