Want to travel but I am currently at University! Im British but will have an Australian Passport soon........?
You should definitely travel to Australia, it is a beautiful country and most Australians are really friendly and helpful. Lots of tourists travel to Australia, so you won't need to worry about not speaking English that well, and I'm sure with a bit of practise you'll be more confident. The best time to travel to Australia is during the Australian spring/summer or early autumn, because then you'll be able to go swimming, although you can go swimming in Queensland (that's a northern state in Australia) pretty much year round. Also before you go remember that Australia has a few cyclones up in the northern states in the Australian summer, and there's a few box jellyfish around in the north in summer, and also it might be a bit hot for you in Summer, since you are used to living in the UK. I think that the best places to visit in Australia are Sydney, to see the Harbour bridge/Opera house/Manly/Bondi beach, and also Queensland is lovely, especially the Great Barrier Reef, and Kakadu National Park and Uluru are good to visit as well. Canberra, which is the capital of Australia, has a lot of political sites and a nice lake to cycle around but not many international tourists go there, because its quite small and more of a city for public servants and university students, although if you're into politics you might find it interesting, and they have a cool museum there called Questacon. If you're looking for somewhere that is really beautiful and natural, and away from all the tourists, Tasmania and also Lord Howe Island (which is about a 2hr flight away from Sydney, but it's quite isolated) are nice places to visit. I hope that you come to Australia!!!!
